I teach photography at Tri-Community.  Recently my students and I were discussing natural light vs flash.  As much as I love natural light, I do believe there are times that call for flash to be used in photography.  And when asked, which do I prefer?  I’ll use either/or depending on the situation.  They both have their benefits.  But I think the key is to know how to be able to use BOTH effectively!

When hiring a photographer, be sure to find out if he/she can use flash.  Because a photographer should be able to shoot in any lighting situation, with any type of light ;)  Because you never know what mother nature is going to provide you!  Here are some examples of natural and flash photography.  What do you think?
